Following the success of India’s Chandrayaan-3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi christened the landing site of the Vikram Lander as “Shivshakti” in his presentation to the scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation at the space agency’s headquarters in Bengaluru.
India became the first country to accomplish so thanks to ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3, which conducted a successful soft landing on the south pole of the moon.
The prime minister arrived in Bengaluru early on Saturday to visit and address the ISRO Chandrayaan-3 mission team of scientists. India, he said, accomplished something that had never been done before because “India is on the moon.” He said that this is the new India and that the national pride has been put on the moon.
An emotional prime minister thanked the scientists and their team for their devotion and hard work in making the mission successful, saying, “I salute your hard work, salute to your dedication and your team.”
He declared that the 23rd of August, when India raised its flag on the moon, will henceforth be celebrated as National Space Day in India.
“‘Tiranga’ will be the name given to the location on the lunar surface where Chandrayaan-2 left its imprints. This will serve as motivation for all of India’s efforts. It will serve as a reminder that failure is not always fatal, the prime minister said.
The prime minister said that after the nation’s anxiety over the landing of the Vikram Lander, “every Indian felt like they passed a big exam.”
The country has received congratulations for the success of its Chandrayaan-3 moon project, he said, adding that this is all due to the scientists.
PM Modi noted that women scientists were crucial to the success of Chandrayaan 3, saying, “Women scientists played a major part in Chandrayaan 3.Future generations will be motivated to employ science for human benefit by this “Shivshakti” argument. Our primary focus is to the wellbeing of people.
The prime minister noted the nation’s space sector’s contribution and said that, according to experts, “India’s space industry will grow from $8 billion to $16 billion.”
The prime minister said that we must uncover India’s hidden repository of knowledge and science, known as Azadi ka Amrit Kaal.
According to PM Modi, the success of ISRO’s moon mission benefits not just India but also all of mankind.
