Ajit Pawar, the party leader of Maharashtra’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), stated on Thursday that in order to deal with his uncle Sharad Pawar, the NCP’s supremo, he would take a page from Raj Thackeray, the leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
Notably, the MNS leader broke up his relationship with his late uncle, Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, in order to create his own organisation.
Following Raj Thackeray’s “advice” to him in an interview, in which the latter stated that Ajit Pawar should give his uncle Sharad Pawar the same level of attention he pays outside, Ajit Pawar gave a cryptic response.
Amruta Fadnavis, the spouse of Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and NCP MP Amol Kolhe conducted the interview.
When asked about the comment by local media, Ajit Pawar said, “I will also pay attention to my uncle. Just like Raj Thackeray did.”
