Ajit Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said on Thursday that he would “pay attention” to his uncle Sharad Pawar, the organization’s head, in the same manner that Raj Thackeray did with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
In an interview with Thackeray that was conducted by Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and NCP MP Amol Kolhe, Pawar responded to Thackeray’s “advice” to him. According to Thackeray, Ajit Pawar ought to treat his uncle with the same respect that he does other people.
When asked about the comment by local media, Ajit Pawar said, “I will also pay attention to my uncle. Just like Raj Thackeray did.” Notably, the MNS leader broke up his relationship with his late uncle, Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, in order to create his own organisation.
