Women entering the military services, according to Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik (Retd), is a reflection of the nation’s changing circumstances.
Upon examining the women recruits’ attestation parade at the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School (ARTC&S) in Sukhovi in Nagaland on Wednesday, he said that it is the finest illustration of women’s empowerment.
“These women personnel will secure a good livelihood for themselves and for their family and also inspire the girls in the future to stand on their own feet and contribute to the progress of the nation,” Parnaik said.
According to a Raj Bhavan communiqué, the governor saluted the marching contingents led by recruit Maina Saikia.
