Yogi Ramdev publicly offered his support to the protesting wrestlers at the current Jantar Mantar demonstration against the sexual harassment of female wrestlers.
According to reports, the yogi demanded that Wrestlers Federation of India (WFI) president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh be imprisoned.
Ramdev said what?
“It is exceedingly dishonorable that the country’s wrestlers chose to sit in protest at the Jantar Mantar in response to the charges of harassment made against the head of the wrestling organization. Such individuals have to be apprehended and imprisoned right away; he constantly makes absurd statements regarding moms, sisters, and daughters. In Rajasthan’s Bhilwara, where he is leading a three-day Yog Shivir, Ramdev remarked, “This is a very condemnable horrible deed, a sin.
I’m merely able to make a statement. When questioned about the WFI Chief, he slater replied, “I cannot keep hold of (him in prison) too closely.
“I am capable of responding to any political question. I don’t lack intellectual capacity. I don’t have a mental or intellectual disability, and I do have a vision for the nation, the yogi said.
Ramdev, who has previously often come under media scrutiny for his views, said: “When I make statements from a political viewpoint, the matter turns slightly topsy turvy and there is a thunderstorm.”
