A 10-year-old child called Mumbai Police on Friday with a false report about a bomb on an aircraft at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. On Thursday, the Mumbai police control center got the call at emergency number 112.
An official said that the caller claimed a bomb had been installed on an aircraft that was set to take off after 10 hours.
The cops responded right away to the call and discovered it to be a fake.
The officer stated, “A 10-year-old boy from Satara had made this call.”
He said that the youngster was being treated by the police when it was discovered that he had some major medical conditions.
The police say they are looking into the situation.
The call comes one month after Mumbai Police received a threat resembling the 2008 terrorist assault on September 11th.
An official stated on July 18 that the unnamed caller also threatened to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, throwing security circles into a frenzy.
According to the police, a complaint has been filed under Section 509(2) of the Indian Penal Code against the anonymous caller(s), and further inquiries are ongoing.
