Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, said on Sunday that the planned Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Cancer Hospital in Thane would have advanced amenities. Shinde was speaking to a crowd after RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat lay the cornerstone for the 600-bed hospital and a temple complex.
“A cancer hospital is crucial for Maharashtra as a whole, not just Thane. With technical assistance from Tata Cancer facility, this facility will provide protein treatment together with cutting-edge amenities, according to Shinde.
On this occasion, he paid tribute to the late Anand Dighe, his mentor and a Shiv Sena politician. Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister, praised the late Dighe as a leader who prioritized helping others above pursuing political ambitions.
“CM Shinde is carrying on Dighe’s legacy,” he said. According to Fadnavis, cancer cases are on the increase in India.
By the year 2035, there will be a rise in the number of cancer sufferers. The second biggest killer in the world is cancer. The whole family is affected by this illness in addition to the sick individual, said Fadnavis.
