The death of well-known Jain monk Muni Kamkumar Nandi Maharaj was discussed on Monday (July 10), and Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated there was no need for a CBI investigation. He added that the police were striving to apprehend the culprits and that there was no discrimination going on in the case.
“The Police are seeking to apprehend the culprits as soon as possible and file charges. Legal action is a common practise. Discrimination is not a concern. After the event, the police responded right away to a report and started investigating. I spoke to the Jain monks in Hubli yesterday; they were observing a fast, the State Home Minister stated.
He said explicitly that the State police is capable of punishing the culprits and that there is no need for a CBI investigation in this instance. “We’ve heard their request for a CBI probe, and we’ve come to reassure them. The police department here is capable. There’s no need to give it to CBI, the man said.
The Minister added that the conclusion of the Department’s probe would be when the truth will become clear. It is not appropriate to level charges. There will be a lawsuit. He continued, “There is no pressure on the police; they are operating impartially.
The situation changed as a result of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi calling for the harshest penalties for the offenders. Additionally, he said that there was a suspicion among the populace that the murders were being shielded. Additionally, he said that the State was conducting the case’s investigations while engaging in appeasement politics.

The Muni, a member of the Digambar sect of Jainism, allegedly used to lend money, according to police officials who made the claim on Saturday (July 8). “Prima facie it appears that the monk was murdered for money-related matter,” the official continued.
The suspects, Narayana Basappa Madi and Hassan Dalayath, admitted to killing the monk and dropping his dismembered body into the borewell. According to sources, the BJP has also chosen to bring up the subject on Monday, June 10 in the Karnataka Assembly.
