A passenger on board an IndiGo aircraft from Mumbai to Bangkok who had a heart attack and died on Sunday caused the flight to be diverted. According to sources, IndiGo aircraft 6E-57 was diverted to Myanmar because of a medical issue.
According to the story, which cited a flier on board, the passenger had a heart attack less than an hour after the aircraft from Bombay at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
He said that the airplane was rerouted to a Myanmar airport after the passenger passed away. Almost five hours later, it departed from Yangon.
This occurs only a few days after a passenger’s illness on Thursday caused an IndiGo aircraft traveling from Ranchi to Pune to be diverted to Nagpur owing to a medical emergency.
The airline’s spokeswoman stated in a statement that the customer was unconscious throughout the trip and was taken to the hospital for treatment, but sadly passed away.
