Ingredients:
· Mango puree – 3/4 cup
· Milk powder – 3/4 cup
· Condensed milk – 3/4 cup
· Sugar – 1/4 cup
· Edible food color – a pinch
· Ghee – 3 tablespoons
· Saffron – 1 large pinch
· Cardamom powder – 1 large pinch
· Almonds – 10-12
· Pistachios – for garnish
· Dry fruits or silver leaf for topping
Preparation:
In a heavy-bottomed pan over low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of ghee to make mango peda. After that, stir thoroughly before adding milk powder and condensed milk to the pan. Cook this mixture while stirring often until it resembles dough. Transfer the mixture to a another dish.
Add ghee to the pan after that, roughly 2 teaspoons worth. Saffron, cardamom powder, and mango puree should also be added. As the mixture cooks, stir it constantly until the mango puree thickens. Cook the puree until it starts to slightly thicken. Reintroduce the milk powder and condensed milk mixture to the pan and thoroughly combine it. Cook the mixture continuously until it thickens and all the ingredients are well-combined. Once the mixture has the desired consistency, turn the heat off.
Take the mixture and place it on a different dish to cool. Make tiny, spherical balls out of the mixture after it has warmed up a little. Put a whole almond in the center of each ball after gently flattening it with your hands. For garnishing, use chopped pistachios and saffron threads.
