The White House is allegedly not planning to pay to have its staff’s official Twitter accounts continue to be verified as Elon Musk prepares to begin removing heritage verified Blue check marks starting on Saturday.
Rob Flaherty, the White House’s director of digital strategy, allegedly conveyed instructions to the staff members through email.

According to Flaherty’s email, Twitter will no longer be able to ensure verification for government agency accounts that do not match its new eligibility standards, as per the company’s modified policy.
Twitter, a microblogging site, said on Friday that its “Verification for Organizations” service is now accessible worldwide.
Verified Organizations, according to the business, are a new method for organizations and their affiliates to stand out on the microblogging platform.
Accounts that are connected to the organization will have a connection badge on their profile with the organization’s logo and will be highlighted on the account’s Twitter page.
