NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has withdrawn his resignation on Friday after the dramatic developments in the politics of Maharashtra for the past several days. He will continue to be the president of NCP. After several days of heated exchange, Sharad Pawar agreed and announced his withdrawal of his resignation while giving a press conference on Friday evening. During this, Pawar said that he cannot disrespect his workers, so he is withdrawing his decision.

Ajit Pawar said that ‘Pawar saheb’s decision to remain the National President of the Nationalist Congress Party boosts the enthusiasm of the party workers and is the strength of the Maha Vikas Aghadi’. NCP is a family and under the leadership of Saheb, the party will achieve great success in the state and the country. He said that everyone should take the responsibility of taking care of his (Sharad Pawar) age and health.
Along with this, he informed about his tour to be held next week. He will visit Pune, Satara, Osmanabad, Latur, Nashik for eight days from tomorrow. After the committee’s decision to reject Sharad Pawar’s resignation, all the members of the committee met him at his Silver Oak residence. After this in a press conference held at Y.B. Chavan Centre, Sharad Pawar announced his decision to continue as party president. However, the absence of Ajit Pawar in the press conference again raised the issue of his displeasure with the whole episode. In such a situation, Ajit Pawar issued an official statement welcoming the decision and has blown away the clouds of doubt for now.
Earlier, Sharad Pawar had told the reasons behind withdrawing his resignation during the press conference. He also mentioned Rahul Gandhi and Sitaram Yechury and told that apart from these many other leaders had said that their role would be important in uniting the opposition. At the same time, he talked about not disrespecting the party core committee and workers and withdrew his resignation.
