On Thursday night, militants assaulted an Indian army vehicle in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir, killing two troops and two civilian porters.
According to PTI, which cited unnamed officials, terrorists fired on the car in the Botapathri area.
Omar Abdullah, the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed his sympathies to the victims’ families.
“It is very regrettable to learn that the attack on the army vehicles in the North Kashmir region of Boota Pathri has caused some casualties and injuries,” Abdullah wrote on X.
“There is significant alarm over the current wave of violence in Kashmir. I express my deepest condemnation of this attack and offer my deepest sympathies to the families of those who perished. “I also pray that the injured recover fully and quickly,” he continued.
Hours after terrorists shot and wounded a labourer in the Pulwama district’s Batgund Trail neighbourhood, an army vehicle was attacked.
Pritam Singh, an Uttar Pradesh resident, has been identified as the injured worker. After learning of the occurrence, security officers arrived on the scene. In the last week, there have been three attacks against non-local labourers in Kashmir.
Earlier in the day, several political figures denounced the terror acts that have occurred in the Kashmir valley since the new administration was formed and urged it to take immediate action to stop them and protect migrant workers.
Terrorists attacked a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in the Ganderbal area on October 20, killing a doctor and six construction workers.
