The test results have shockingly shown that, among other ingredients, laddus made from beef tallow, fish oil, lard (pig fat), and palm oil were given as prasadam, or holy food, at the well-known Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, a popular Hindu pilgrimage. In addition to giving poor quality food to devotees, like Anna Prasadam in Tirumala, the YSRC government also used subpar ingredients to make prasadam, which was offered to Lord Venkateswara. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s shocking accusation that “they used animal fat instead of pure ghee” caused great anxiety among the followers. However, it has been regrettably discovered that his assertion is accurate.
A report from the “Centre of Analysis and Learning in Livestock and Food” (CALF) laboratory of the National Dairy Development Board in Gujarat states that during the rule of the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), animal fat was discovered in the ghee used to prepare the prasad for the throngs of worshippers who flocked to the sacred site. All of the equations for the sample code AB023654 have S values outside of the range the technique specifies. The report stated, “Consider the sample to contain a foreign fat if any S-value falls outside the corresponding limits.”
As per the study, the laddus utilised pig farts called lard, fish oil, and beef tallow, which is a type of fat. Vegetable ingredients such as soybeans, sunflower, olive, rapeseed, linseed, wheat germ, maize germ, cotton seed, coconut, palm kernel oil, and palm oil were also utilised in the laddus.
“We’re cleaning the temple’s system today with pure ghee. During his speech at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislative party meeting on September 18, Chandrababu Naidu stated, “The quality of prasadam and food has improved, and steps are being taken to make further improvements.” The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) manage the well-known Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. Former TTD chairman and YSRCP leader YV Subba Reddy denied the allegations, calling them “malicious” and stating that the TDP chief will “stoop to any level for political gain.”
