As part of its development strategy, real estate company Bhumika Group would spend Rs 600 crore in the creation of a high-street retail property in Faridabad.
The business is now building a second 8 lakh square foot phase of its retail project in Udaipur, Rajasthan, after finishing the first phase, which covered 10 lakh square feet.
“With a local real estate company called Amolik group, which owns a 5-acre property lot in Faridabad, we have signed into a cooperative development deal. On this piece of land, we will build 5.5 lakh square feet of high-street retail over the next four years, Bhumika Group MD Uddhav Poddar informed reporters.
In this retail venture, the two partners would share space, he added.
Poddar said that after the second wave of the COVID epidemic, the retail industry had recovered.
When questioned about the investment, Poddar said that the project’s anticipated overall cost is Rs 600 crore.
Pre-sales, internal cash flows, and institutional investments would all be used to pay for the investment.
Poddar stated the business will be leasing part of the retail space in this project but selling the rest.
The leased area, he said, will be kept by the business.
The project’s entire sales realization is expected to reach $1 billion, according to Poddar.
He said that the Faridabad market has relatively few retail developments and that in order to meet local demand, the city requires Grade-A shopping complexes and high-street sites.
One of the city’s top developers is Omaxe, who is working on a retail complex.
Urban Square Mall, a company-sponsored retail venture in Udaipur, is performing well, according to Poddar.
He said that in order to build new retail projects and join the housing market, the firm is searching for property both independently and in collaboration.
Bhumika Group, situated in Delhi, is also involved in e-commerce and logistics.
