Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, declared on Friday that the INDIA bloc comprises 60% of all Indians and that, if it campaigns together in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP would be unable to prevail.
Gandhi said two “very powerful steps” were made at the meeting to guarantee that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) beats the BJP in a joint news conference following the two days of brainstorming on the alliance’s framework here.
“The first step is a coordination committee and committees under that committee, and the second step is a decision that we will expedite all seat-sharing discussions and decisions and make them happen as soon as possible,” the former Congress head stated.
The most crucial thing to comprehend, he continued, is that this stage, which includes a number of parties, represents 60% of India’s population.
“The BJP cannot win an election if the parties represented on this platform come together. Therefore, our goal is to unite in the most effective manner possible, and two significant steps have already been made in that direction, according to Gandhi.
Gandhi brought up new accusations against the Adani Group in his address as well.
The billionaire Gautam Adani group was accused on Thursday of using family members to invest hundreds of millions of dollars covertly via “opaque” Mauritius-based investment firms, causing a dramatic spike in the company’s stock price. The corporation has categorically refuted the accusation.
Gandhi said during the joint presser, “I did a press conference and the nexus between the prime minister and a particular businessman is there for every single person to see.”
“I mentioned in my press conference that the G20 is taking place and it is very important for India’s credibility that the PM (Narendra Modi) makes his position very clear and begins an inquiry as to what has happened with regard to Mr. Adani,” the speaker added.
Gandhi said that “the PM and the BJP are a nexus of corruption,” adding that this would be the first thing that the INDIA bloc will show and establish.
He said that the goal of Prime Minister Modi’s administration is to take money from the nation’s underprivileged and give it to a select group of individuals.
The Congress leader said that the INDIA group will put together a distinct set of proposals that would once again include the poor, farmers, and workers in the development of our nation.
“I am confident that the INDIA alliance will easily defeat the BJP,” he said.
Gandhi praised the unity of the opposition and said that the alliance’s true strength lies in the bonds that its leaders have built.
“I can state with certainty that these two meetings have contributed significantly to fostering goodwill among the leaders and ensuring that we all function as a single team. The way we are going about things, I can see that,” he remarked.
Gandhi acknowledged that there are disagreements inside the alliance, but he expressed his admiration for the coalition’s efforts to minimize and resolve such disagreements.
Gandhi said that the incumbent administration had “chained” the media and that the INDIA bloc was striving to “free them from the chains.”
Gandhi also discussed his most recent journey to Ladakh, including his visit to the Pangong Tso lake.
“I had in-depth conversations with the people of Ladakh, maybe the most in-depth that any politician outside of Ladakh has ever had. ‘The prime minister is lying about the fact that the Chinese have not grabbed Indian land,’ the shepherds of the Pangong lake region, the leaders, and the regular people who live near the lake unequivocally informed me.
Every single individual in Ladakh is aware that the Indian government has deceived both the people of India and the people of Ladakh, he said. Gandhi said that there has “clearly been an accommodation between the government and the Chinese.”

Nevertheless, he remarked, “What has transpired in Ladakh is incredibly humiliating, and these are matters of national concern and national security.
Leaders from 28 opposition parties met in this location to make important decisions, including establishing a 14-member coordination committee that will serve as the alliance’s top decision-making body and begin work on seat sharing, amid rumors of early elections and the government forming a panel to investigate the possibility of “one nation, one election”.
