CP Joshi, the state head of the BJP, said on Monday that the people of Rajasthan have voted to remove the Congress government permanently. He made fun of the existing administration for holding camps to help those affected by inflation. On Monday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot unveiled the ‘Mehangai Rahat’ camps, the administration’s signature programme, and he urged the populace to “repeat” his government in order to boost public welfare programmes.
Joshi, however, said that Rajasthan has overtaken other states in terms of crime and document leaks and that the government is unable to stop it. In reference to the most recent arrest of Babulal Katara, a Rajasthan Public Service Commission member, in a case involving a document leak, Joshi said that the institution’s legitimacy was compromised by the enfranchisement of corrupt individuals.
“Today, young people in the state feel duped. The administration has crushed young people’s ambitions, he told reporters at the party headquarters in this city. Joshi also criticised the state government for the conflicts between two groups on Sunday in Tonk’s Malpura, claiming they were an obvious example of the administration’s appeasement strategy.
