At least six schools in the Delhi-NCR, including multiple campuses of Mother Mary’s, Amity, and Delhi Public School, received emails on Wednesday morning threatening to carry out a bombing. Officials stated that the schools are being evacuated as a precaution and that the Delhi Police are thoroughly searching the area.
A bomb disposal squad, a bomb detection unit, and a Delhi Fire Service team have been dispatched to the schools, where they are conducting a search and rescue operation.
“Information has been received about a bomb at Delhi Public School in Dwarka. Firefighters, the Bomb Disposal Squad, and Delhi Police have all appeared. A search is in progress,” a statement from Delhi Police stated.
Authorities confirmed that Mother Mary’s, Amity Saket Pushp Vihar, DPS Noida, and Sanskriti schools in Mayur Vihar also received identical threats.
