During his discussions with his colleagues from France, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, and Romania, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar covered a wide variety of topics, including the Indo-Pacific and the conflict in the Ukraine.
For the duration of his three-day trip, Jaishankar will be in Sweden to take part in the EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum (EIPMF). On Saturday, he had a meeting with his peers outside of the EIPMF.

On July 14, Prime Minister Modi will be a special guest at this year’s Bastille Day Parade. French President Emmanuel Macron extended an invitation to Modi to take part in the Parade in Paris.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, a detachment of the Indian military services would march in the parade alongside their French counterparts.
Along with signing agreements on migration and mobility, Jaishankar also met Alexander Schallenberg, Austria’s foreign minister.

Jaishankar and Hadja Lahbib, the foreign minister of Belgium, made a commitment to promote bilateral ties and multilateral collaboration during their first encounter.
He addressed expanding bilateral and international connections while exchanging opinions with the foreign minister of Bulgaria, Ivan Kondov.
Jaishankar spoke on travel and mobility with Constantinos Kombos, his Cypriot colleague.

Jaishankar met with Edgars Rinkevics, the foreign minister of Latvia, to explore measures to improve bilateral relations in light of the turmoil in Ukraine.

Jaishankar expressed his gratitude to Bogdan Aurescu, his Romanian colleague, for helping to organize Operation Ganga, an evacuation effort to bring back all the Indian citizens who were left behind in Ukraine.
