IRCTC Website Down: On Tuesday, a technical issue made it difficult for IRCTC users to buy rail tickets on the website and the mobile application. When they were unable to reserve their train tickets, ticket seekers brought up the problem early in the morning. The IRCTC quickly acknowledged the problem and said that its technical staff is working to find a solution. The IRCTC said in a tweet that the ticketing facility was unavailable due to technical issues. Our technical staff is working to find a solution. “Due to technical reasons, the ticketing service is not available on IRCTC site and App,” reads another tweet from IRCTC. The problem is being resolved by the CRIS technical team. Tickets may also be purchased via other B2C service providers, such as Amazon, Makemytrip, etc.
After multiple people uploaded images of the error message, the problem gained further attention.
How can I use the Amazon App to buy rail tickets?
Click the Trains symbol on the Amazon Pay homepage using the Amazon.in app or mobile web browser. To access the booking page for rail tickets, enter “Trains” in the product search field as well.
When you arrive at the website for purchasing rail tickets, click Trains under Book Tickets.
Enter your trip locations and then choose your stations.
Fill up the remaining information, such as the trip dates.
To purchase train tickets on Amazon, you must first sign in to your Amazon.in account.
On the MakeMyTrip app, how can I purchase a train ticket?
Click the “Trains & Metro” button in the MakeMyTrip app.
Select your journey date and enter the stations for your source and destination.
On the SEARCH button, tap.
Choose the train of your choice and the travel class that best suits your needs.
Fill up the passenger information, enter your IRCTC User ID, and then go on to the payment area.
Make the payment using your selected method of payment.
Re-enter your IRCTC password, solve the captcha, and then touch the “Submit” button when the payment has been made.
Both SMS and email will be used to deliver your reserved e-Ticket.
