Shangri-La Dialogue has been organized in Singapore recently. Apart from this program, a senior colonel of China has given such a statement which is enough to tell its overconfidence. According to this Chinese colonel, there is no threat to the Indian Army, China. He says that India will never be able to reach Chinese defense industry and weapon systems. On the other hand, according to Chinese experts, despite the conflict on the border, India is unlikely to be an ally in the US strategy to counter China.
Shangri-La Dialogue is the largest security forum in Asia. Chinese military representatives here say that India will not pose a security threat to China as it is still unable to challenge the PLA in defense construction and modernization of its military. On the occasion of the Shangri-La Dialogue that ended on Sunday, representatives of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) said that India is still far away from matching China’s military.
“India is unlikely to overtake China in the coming decades due to its weak industrial infrastructure, while China has built a complex and systematic defense industrial platform,” said Zhao Xiaozhuo, senior colonel of the PLA Academy of Military Sciences. Zhao also said that due to the modernization of India’s military and the US-led Quad, there will be no impact between China and India on platforms like BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). China believes that the purpose of the Quad is to stop China. Zhao said that China believes that India will not be able to become a ‘loyal partner’ of the US-dominated Indo-Pacific strategy because of its independent diplomacy.
