On Sunday, a 70-year-old lady was reportedly suffocated to death during a robbery in Mumbai’s Tardeo neighborhood, according to authorities.
The deceased has been identified as Surekha Agarwal, according to the police.
The event occurred early on Sunday morning when the dead woman’s husband, Madhan Mohan Agrawal, was out for a morning stroll, according to the police.
The police said that three persons broke into the man’s home at approximately 6:30 am with the goal to rob him.
The elderly couple’s wrists and mouth were taped, the suspects stole gold jewelry from their home, and then they escaped, the police said.
The victim, Mohan Agarwal, allegedly told the neighbors about the robbery after they had already left the home, and they had then phoned the police.
As soon as the police were informed, they arrived at the scene and transported the couple to Nair Hospital, where Surekha Agarwal’s death was pronounced.
According to the police, a murder and robbery case has been filed against the three suspects, who were informed about the investigation.
