After the suspense over the Chief Minister in Karnataka ended on Thursday, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony in Bengaluru are in the final stages. Siddaramaiah will take oath as Chief Minister and DK Shivakumar as Deputy Chief Minister on Saturday at 12:30 pm. Some MLAs will also be sworn in as ministers. Meanwhile, the list of guests is in limelight.
For the swearing-in ceremony of Siddaramaiah, the Congress has prepared a list of leaders from across the country. Congress has invited leaders of like-minded parties for the swearing-in ceremony. According to Congress sources, the names of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) are not in the list of guests.
According to sources, the guest list includes Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar deputy and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Maharashtra Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Communist Party leader Sitaram Yechury, former Jammu and Kashmir CM and NC leader Farooq Abdullah, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have also been invited.
According to Congress sources, apart from Arvind Kejriwal and KCR, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati have not been invited for Siddaramaiah’s swearing-in ceremony. The name of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is also missing from the list. While Mehbooba Mufti, D Raja, Kamal Haasan have been invited. According to the report, Mamta Banerjee will not be able to attend the swearing-in ceremony due to her arrangement. TMC has already given its information.
