Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav said on Sunday night that the newly established state government’s cabinet will expand on Monday at 3:30 p.m. However, he withheld information regarding the total number of council of ministers entrants.
Tomorrow at 3:30 pm, the new Madhya Pradesh government will take the oath of office. “We will take the oath for the development of Madhya Pradesh as a part of a ‘double-engine’ government under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, and home minister Amit Shah,” the chief minister said to the reporters.
Three people make up the cabinet at the moment: chief minister Mohan Yadav and his two deputies, Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla. With the CM included, the council of ministers in the cabinet may have a maximum of 35 members.
Days after the BJP won 163 out of 230 assembly seats, on December 13, former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s tenure came to an end as BJP MLA Mohan Yadav took the oath as the new chief minister. With 66 seats, the Congress came in a distant second. On November 17, the state had a single round of voting, and the results were announced on December 3.
Yadav and President Droupadi Murmu met earlier on Sunday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. “Her Excellency President Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji gave Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav advice today in New Delhi during a courtesy visit at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Office (CMO) official administrative handle said on X, the previous Twitter platform.
While at the nation’s capital, he also met Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla, and BJP President JP Nadda.
The chief minister and his delegates met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in the nation’s capital to talk about a number of state development-related initiatives.
