On Sunday night, a landslide on the Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Express Highway was recorded, impeding vehicle traffic as the state’s heavy rains persisted.
No injuries related to the landslide have been recorded as of yet.
For the time being, all three lanes of the expressway’s vehicular traffic have been stopped.
Authorities are clearing away the landslide material that was brought down.
This occurs at the same time as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts more rainfall in several areas of Maharashtra.
IMD issued a “orange” signal for isolated areas of Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts due to heavy to extremely heavy rains. For July 24, the warning was issued.
