According to the information received, the girl is mentally ill (disabled) and the girl was kidnapped and raped in a moving taxi. According to the information, After rapping the girl, the accused brought her to Vakola area and left her. In this case, Salman Shaikh and taxi driver Prakash Pandey have been arrested. Police said that the taxi driver helped accused Salman in carrying out the crime, hence the police has arrested him also. In this case, the police have registered a case against the accused under section 376 of IPC and related POCSO sections.
According to the statement of the victim girl, she boarded a taxi near her house in South Mumbai around 2.30 am, after which the taxi driver Pandey took her to Dadar. The accused Salman, who runs a lodge in Dadar, sat in a taxi after which he raped the girl. The victim had to go to her cousin sister in Malad Malvani, after which the accused dropped the victim in Vakola area. With the help of technical help and CCTV, the police traced the accused and arrested them.
