After IAS officer Sanjeev Jaiswal, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also probing the assets of Shiv Sena secretary Suraj Chavan in the corruption case in Mumbai’s BMC during the Covid times. ED sources said that they have received information about Chavan’s 4 flats, which cost around Rs 10 crore and these flats were bought during the Covid period. The sources also claimed that the ED is ascertaining whether these flats were bought from the money received from that scam.
Very close to Aditya Thackeray
ED has called Suraj Chavan for questioning on Monday. Suraj Chavan is the secretary of Shiv Sena and is considered very close to Aditya Thackeray. During the investigation it was also revealed that Chavan was the link between the BMC official and the contractor. Chavan’s WhatsApp chat is also in the hands of ED, which ED is considering very important for this investigation.

To investigate this matter, when ED had conducted a search operation at 15 places, during that time ED found a diary. Sources told that this diary was found from a suspect’s house. A lot of information has been written in this diary and in the context of many transactions during the Covid period, which is also being verified by the ED.
