Manoj Jarange Patil, who is agitating for Maratha reservation, has agreed to break his hunger strike. Manoj Jarange Patil has announced that he will break the hunger strike in the presence of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Udayan Raje Bhosale. Jarange Patil has also said that he will break the hunger strike but will not move away from the place of agitation. Manoj Jarange Patil has given one month’s time to the government and said that it should do whatever is necessary for reservation in one month. Manoj Jarange Patil has also announced to organize a big meeting of Maratha community on 12th October.
Manoj Jarange Patil, who is on hunger strike demanding reservation for the Maratha community, said that reservation is the need of the hour. As the demand for reservation intensified, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also held an all-party meeting on this issue. This meeting was held at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai. Maratha organizations had also observed a bandh in Thane regarding this, the effect of which has been seen.
Let us tell you that on September 10, Manoj Jarange Patil had rejected the demand to end hunger strike and said that he will remain on hunger strike until the Kunbi caste certificates are not given to the Maratha community, but with some conditions, Manoj Jarange Patil today decided to end hunger strike. A team of doctors is constantly monitoring Jarange’s health. When the doctors told him about the impact of the hunger strike on his health and requested him, Jarange said that reservation is the biggest cure for him. Manoj Jarange Patil started the movement for Maratha reservation from 29th August.
