Raj Thackeray-led party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has started preparations to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to sources, the party will contest on a total of 4 Lok Sabha seats in Thane and Palghar districts. MNS will contest on three Lok Sabha seats in Thane and on one seat in Palghar.
Raj Thackeray has been holding meetings with party officials from Thane, Navi Mumbai and Palghar for the last two days. According to sources, the MNS will contest from three seats in Thane district – Thane, Bhiwandi and Kalyan-Dombivali and the Lok Sabha seat in Palghar district. The entry of Raj Thackeray’s party will increase the problems of the Shinde faction and the BJP.
Shrikant Shinde, son of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, is the MP from Kalyan-Dombivli Lok Sabha seat. MNS contesting from this seat may dent the vote bank of Shinde faction. According to the information, Raj Thackeray is angry with BJP for the last few days. Raj Thackeray is miffed with the BJP leaders of the state over the induction of MNS workers into the BJP in several districts of Vidarbha.
