An official said on Sunday that the Mumbai police had apprehended a 22-year-old guy who was wanted for the suspected murder of a real estate agent in Bihar.
According to the official, the police set up a trap along the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road in Sakinaka on Friday and caught the accused Naveen Kumar Ranjan.
Prem Paswan, a real estate agent from Bihar, was shot dead in January over a money disagreement, and Ranjan was sought for his murder, according to him.
The Bihar police had previously detained four further suspects in connection with the murder, but Ranjan, who had been missing for the previous eight months, was found in Mumbai, according to the official.
He said that Ranjan would be sent over to the Bihar police and described the accused as contract assassins who received Rs 5 lakh for the killing.
