One such trailblazer is Nidhi Yadav, a businesswoman who ventured into the tempting world of fashion despite all the obstacles, leaving aside a lucrative career in computer engineering.
When Nidhi entered the fashion business, she defied preconceived notions about her line of work. She realized that her true purpose was not in the business world while working for Deloitte since she became weary of it. After admitting at a crucial presentation that she had never wanted to go to the workplace, Nidhi underwent a change that would determine the course of her life.
Nidhi decided to pursue her passion for fashion after being inspired by her superiors at work. She participated in a one-year study at the famed Polimoda Fashion School in Florence, Italy, to get the required knowledge.
In order to provide contemporary ethnic clothing at reasonable prices for ladies between the ages of 18 and 35, Nidhi founded Aks in 2014. After a modest beginning investment of Rs 3.5 lakh, the company gradually established a reputation in the business despite facing its fair share of challenges. She made the decision to launch 20 new fashions every two weeks, which proved to be a wise decision.
Revenue for Aks dramatically grew over time. It swiftly climbed from Rs 1.60 crore in 2014 to Rs 8.50 crore the following year, and then to Rs 48 crore by 2018. According to DNA, by the end of 2021, Aks has produced more than Rs 200 crore in revenue entirely on its own. The most current earnings data are unknown, although Nidhi declared her intention to earn Rs 500 crore in the fiscal year 2023–2024.
Because of her metamorphosis from a disgruntled computer engineer to a prosperous fashion entrepreneur, Nidhi Yadav is an inspiration to everyone. Nidhi’s passion and entrepreneurial spirit have not only disrupted the existing quo in an industry that often is controlled by well-established rivals, but also cleared the way for contemporary, reasonably priced ethnic fashion.
