US Vice President Joe Biden gave Modi a warm welcome at the White House, and the two leaders had one-on-one discussions in the Oval Office on a variety of topics of shared and international importance
The US and India are claimed to have taken efforts to expand their bilateral collaboration in order to develop economic linkages, particularly trade ties, according to the official statement of the Joint Meeting of the US Congress, which was subsequently made public. The two nations also expressed excitement for the next meeting of the India-US economic Policy Forum later this year, which would be used to strengthen their economic ties and find fresh opportunities for interaction
1 Modi said, while discussing democratic principles in general, “Beauty of democracy is constant connect with people, to listen to them, and feel their pulse.” Democracy is one of our cherished and shared principles, he said. The spirit of democracy upholds equality and decency. Democracy is a philosophy that values discussion and dialogue. The culture of democracy is what provides freedom of speech and ideas. India is the mother of democracy in the development of the democratic spirit.

Speaking about terrorism, Modi said that even 20 years after 9/11 and 10 years after the 26th of November in Mumbai, radicalization and terrorism continue to pose a serious threat to the whole globe. There can be no ifs or buts in addressing terrorism since it is an enemy of mankind. We must defeat all of these organisations that support and spread terrorism, he declared.
3. Modi remarked that the Indo-Pacific region is a common concern and shared vision that should be “free from domination,” in reference to recent political events in the area. He was quoted in his speech as saying, “We share a vision of a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific, connected by secure seas, defined by international law, free from domination, and anchored in ASEAN centrality… A region where all nations, small and large, are free and fearless in their choices, progress is not suffocated by an impossible burden of debt, and connectivity is not leveraged for strategic purposes
4. Modi also highlighted efforts in India that are headed by women. “Women in contemporary India are guiding us towards a brighter future. In the Army, Navy, and Air Force today, women serve our nation, he added, noting that India’s ambition goes beyond development that helps women. It is of women-led development, in which women drive forward.
5. Stressing the two nations’ strong military relations, Modi stated, “Today, the United States has emerged as one of our most crucial defence allies. In his speech to the joint session of the US Congress, Modi said that India and the US are now cooperating in the fields of space and the oceans, science and semiconductors, startups and sustainability, tech and commerce, farming and finance, art and artificial intelligence, and many more

The Joint Statement claims that “the US-India trade and investment partnership is an engine for global growth, with bilateral trade exceeding USD 191 billion in 2022, nearly doubling from 2014.” President Biden and Prime Minister Modi both praised the resumption of the CEO Forum and US-India Commercial Dialogue in March in New Delhi.

The countries encouraged their respective industries, according to the Joint Statement, to act on CEO recommendations for increased engagement and technical cooperation to build resilient supply chains for emerging technologies, clean energy technologies, and pharmaceuticals; promote an innovative digital economy; lower barriers to trade and investment; harmonise standards and regulations wherever possible; and work towards skilling of workforces.The leaders are in favour of continuing the Economic and Financial Partnership talks between the US Treasury Department and the Indian Ministry of Finance. Modi and Vice President Biden have said that their administrations would work to advance laws and regulations that will make it easier for US and Indian businesses, governments, and academic institutions to share and create technology
8. According to the statement, Modi and Biden praised Air India and Boeing’s historic deal to purchase more than 200 aircraft built in the United States. According to the statement, this acquisition would support more than one million US employment across 44 states and help with continuing initiatives to modernise India’s civil aviation industry. In support of India’s demand for 31,000 additional pilots over the next 20 years, Boeing has committed a USD 100 million investment in infrastructure and courses to educate pilots there. In order to take advantage of potential synergies between civil and military aircraft, the leaders also applauded Boeing’s statement that it had completed a C-17 aftermarket support facility for MRO and a new parts logistics unit in India.
9. In order to further encourage trade and investment between the two nations, Prime Minister Modi also highlighted India’s willingness in being acknowledged by the US as a designated country under the Trade Agreements Act. In this context, the leaders appreciated the start of formal negotiations on topics pertaining to bilateral public procurement between the two sides

According to the statement, the leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to pursue ambitious initiatives to enhance Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) in order to address common global issues of the twenty-first century. According to the statement, “by the G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, the United States and India will work together to secure G20 commitment to create a significant new dedicated pool of funds at the World Bank to deploy concessional lending for global challenges, and to enhance support for crisis response in International Development Association recipient countries.”
We are very happy to note that Prime Minister Modi and President Biden have significantly enhanced the defence relationship between the two countries by announcing the decision to acquire MQ9B for the Indian armed forces,” General Atomics Global Corporation Chief Executive Vivek Lall said in response to the developments
On Thursday, a State Dinner was held at the White House in celebration of Modi after his joint speech and press conference. The Bidens held a dinner for more than 400 guests in a pavilion on the South Lawn of the White House that had been carefully decorated
The speakers “symbolise so much about the US-India relationship – our energy, our dynamism, and our potential,” Modi said in his speech at the State Dinner. “You have gathered a group of exceptionally talented and remarkable people tonight, I must commend you for that,” he remarked, thanking President Biden and the first lady for hosting the dinner.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have invited Prime Minister Modi to visit the US from June 21–24.
