The third and last high-profile event of the ‘Vitasta’ cultural festival will be launched at the SKICC here on Friday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, according to a statement from the festival’s office. Starting on Friday, Shah will visit Jammu & Kashmir for two days
The third and last major event of the Vitasta cultural festival is scheduled to start at the SKICC, which is situated on the gorgeous banks of the well-known Dal Lake, with much fanfare, according to the spokesperson. He also said that the Home Minister will be kicking off the funfair
Along with Shah, the event would be graced by several other notable figures from Jammu and Kashmir and other regions of the nation, such as Union Minister of State for Culture Meenakashi Lekhi and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the official added.
According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative’s major celebration, named after the old Vedic name of the river Jhelum, strives to bring to life the ideal of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India).
The festival is the third and last in a series of three “Vitasta” activities being put on by the Union Ministry of Culture via the North Zone Cultural Centre in Patiala. This event was formerly held in Pune, Maharashtra, and Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The statement said that the dignitaries would also check out the venue’s art camp and exhibition. He said that only the admittance cards supplied by the organisers will be accepted for entry by the participants. On Friday, Shah will arrive in the Union Territory, where he would participate in a number of development projects in Jammu and Srinagar.
On Friday morning in Jammu, the minister would begin his trip of J-K by placing wreaths on the monument of BJP idealist and Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
Shah will then officially lay the cornerstone for Samba’s Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory. He will also dedicate and lay the cornerstone for a number of municipal development projects. The minister will go to Srinagar in the afternoon to attend a ceremony at Raj Bhavan for the groundbreaking of many development projects. Before departing for the capital on Saturday, he will lay the cornerstone of the “Validan Stambh” in Srinagar
