No new coronavirus cases were found in Mumbai on Monday for the first time in over a month, maintaining the total number at 11,64,005, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
According to BMC data, the financial center had no cases of the respiratory ailment as of June 19. So, this is the 10th time since March 12, 2020, and the sixth time in 2023 that the city has not documented a new COVID-19 case in a 24-hour period.
The city reported two incidents on Sunday. A BMC alert said that no further coronavirus-related deaths were reported in the city in the previous 24 hours, maintaining the total at 19,775.
Since a few days ago, Mumbai has not reported a fatality associated with Covid-19. The city performed 227 more tests, bringing the total number of tests taken there to 1,89,07,525 according to the report.
The city’s cumulative total of recovered patients remained unchanged at 11,44,207 during the last 24 hours due to no new patient recoveries being recorded, according to the local authority.
It added there are 23 ongoing Covid-19 instances in Mumbai right now.
The message said that the city’s coronavirus recovery rate was 98.3% and that the growth rate of new cases from July 10 to July 16 was 0.0003%.
