A 23-year-old NEET candidate was sent to the hospital after he reportedly ingested 15 medications intended to lower fever.
According to police authorities quoted by the news agency PTI, Gulshan Rajput of Bihar’s Khagaria district informed them he had a fever and had “by mistake” taken an overdose of medicines intended to treat it.
The kid denied making a suicide attempt or experiencing despair, according to the report, which also noted that an inquiry into the situation was ongoing.
It alleged that Gulshan’s buddy Sarvesh, a coaching student from Bihar, said he had been sad for a few days as a result of consistently receiving poor grades in the coaching institute’s regular assessments.
When Gulshan’s health worsened, medical personnel hurried him to MBS Hospital, it said.
He lives in the Kunhadi region and has been studying for the NEET at a coaching facility for more than two years, according to the report.
According to a member of the medical staff, the student was admitted to the hospital late on Tuesday night after reportedly ingesting around 20 Dolo 625 pills.
It added that he claimed physicians had declared his condition was not dangerous.
