The 14th payment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM-KISAN), worth Rs 17,000 crore, was made available to around 8.5 crore eligible farmers on Thursday, July 27. The statement was made during a gathering on Thursday in Sikar, Rajasthan.
Along with adding 1,600 FPOs (farmer producer organizations) to ONDC, PM Modi also gave 1.25 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras to the country.
The beneficiaries of the PM-KISAN plan have received a total of around Rs 2.50 lakh crore from the government so far.
Five months after the publication of the 13th installment under the PM-KISAN in February 2023, the 14th installment announcement is made. The eleventh episode was published in May 2022, and the twelveth one in October 2022.
Eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 every four months, or Rs 6,000 yearly, under the PM-KISAN program. Each year, the funds are distributed in three installments, from April to July, August to November, and December to March. The recipients’ bank accounts get a direct transfer of the funds.
Although the program was introduced in February 2019, it began to be executed in December 2018.
