On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak to members and employees of gram sabhas and Panchayati raj institutions as part of the National Panchayati Raj Day festivities in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district.
At the event, which will be conducted at the SAF venue in Rewa, Modi will also virtually perform the “Griha Pravesh” (ceremony done when one enters one’s new home) for the 4.11 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana recipients. He will dedicate many Jal Jeevan Mission initiatives totalling Rs 7,853 crore. It said that 9.48 lakh households in 4,036 villages would benefit from these developments.
The main venue’s display highlighting the growth of many ministries will also be visited by the prime minister.
At the event will be Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, and Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh.
Additionally, Modi will launch the combined e-GramSwaraj and GeM (government e-marketplace) platform for panchayat-level public procurement. The goal of the e-GramSwaraj-GeM integration is to make it possible for panchayats to use GeM to promote their products and services while using the e-GramSwaraj platform. In order to boost public involvement and guarantee that all the advantages of government programs are received, the PM will also start the “Joint Steps Toward Development” campaign.
According to the press release, the campaign, which is centered on inclusive development, will emphasize extending the advantages of different programs to the last mile. Additionally, recipients will get 35 lakh Swamitva property cards from Modi. With the distribution of these cards, the Swamitva Yojana will have given over 1.25 crore property cards nationwide.
He will lay the cornerstone for many railway projects totaling around Rs 2,300 crore and dedicate them to the country. Along with the complete electrification of Madhya Pradesh’s rail network, the projects include expanding the number of railroad lines and converting gauges. According to the press release, the PM will also flag off three trains and lay the cornerstone for the renovation of Gwalior station.
