Pen, Raigad: A youth from Pen taluka went to join the Agniveer Army, which was formed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enable the youth to serve the country. After completing six months of rigorous training, he has earned the honor of becoming the first firefighter from Pen Taluka of Raigad District in Konkan. The name of this young man is Prajwal Tawari. Prajwal is a son of Rave village in Pen taluka.
After completing six months of training in the army, Prajwal came to his native village Rawe in Pen, the enthusiasm of the villagers was raised. Prajwal was welcomed by the villagers with great jubilation by bursting firecrackers
and taking out a procession to the sound of drums. Son of Manisha and Padmakar Tawari of Rave village, Prajwal grew up in a very poor family. However, with great will power, Prajwal carried his dream of joining Agniveer Army and fulfilled it.
Speaking at the reception, Prajwal said that he successfully joined the army with the blessings of his parents, uncle Rambhau Tawari and Shri Raibadevi. Prajwal successfully completed six months of Army training and has now become a role model for the youth. As Prajwal Tawari came to his hometown Rave for the first time after finishing his training period, banners were put up to welcome him in the village.
The young and old took out the procession in the light of firecrackers and the sound of drums chanting slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Jai Shivarai. Suvasini women waved at Prajwal, scattering flowers. On this occasion, Prajwal along with Raja Patil, Chairman of Rao Village Committee, Village Police Patil Rambhau Tawari, Social Worker Santosh Thakur and the villagers, Prajwal’s parents, greeted the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by taking darshan of Jagurt Devi Shree Raibadevi.
