Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, along with their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, who is two years old, had relocated to a new residence. As of right now, there is no one living at the property, and it is not being rented out, according to a source who discussed the matter with the site. However, it is not apparent when the family of three intends to relocate.
Priyanka and Nick’s residence in Los Angeles
There are apparently seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, an indoor basketball court, an inside bowling alley, a home theatre, an entertainment lounge, a spa with a steam shower, a full-service gym, and a billiards room at the mansion that the couple owns in Los Angeles. Through her Instagram account, Priyanka has frequently provided a glimpse of the property.
What exactly is the problem with Priyanka’s extravagant residence?
According to a document of a complaint that was filed in May 2023 and has now been exclusively obtained by Page Six, the pool and spa started to confront Priyanka and Nick with a number of problems around April 2020. These problems included “porous waterproofing” that “fostered mould contamination and related issues.”
It is said in their complaint that a water leak occurred at or around the same time at the grill area on the deck and that this leak caused “damage to a portion of the interior living area immediately below the deck.” According to the allegations, the difficulties with the house rendered the premises “virtually unlivable” and “dangerous from a health perspective to occupy.”
Nick and Priyanka may be entitled to damages in the millions of dollars.
It is also said in the lawsuit that “this has resulted in substantial and significant damage along with a failure of consideration that requires that the purchase and sale be rescinded.” Additionally, it is mentioned that Priyanka and Nick are requesting “consequential damages” from their seller.
“In the alternative, plaintiffs should be reimbursed for all costs of repair, in addition to compensation for the loss of use and other damages caused by defendants’ conduct,” their attorneys stated in the documents that were submitted to the court.
However, according to the complaint, the waterproofing concerns ‘will exceed’ $1.5 million, and the ‘overall damages’ are projected to be somewhere around $2.5 million, as stated in the latest Page Six article. The exact prices have not yet been calculated.
