Sanjay Raut, the leader of Uddhav Thackeray’s team, has issued a peculiar statement that demonstrates the opposition alliance’s support for the Ram Mandir. This declaration was given in advance of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha, which is set to take place in Ayodhya on January 22. Raut is known for his unparliamentary language and a vicious attitude.
According to Raut, Mulayam Singh Yadav, a member of the Samajwadi Party who was serving as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in the year 1990, was also a contributor to the Ram Mandir by ordering open fire against the Kar Sevaks.
On the 17th of January, Raut claimed this in an exclusive interview with the YouTube channel Satya Hindi. He stated that Mulayam Singh, a member of the Samajwadi Party, was responsible for the construction of Ram Mandir. He stated that Singh had ordered firing on Kar Sevaks during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, which led to the deaths of a significant number of devotees of Ram.
I am of the opinion that Mulayam Singh Yadav was also a contributor to the Ram Mandir. In the absence of his firing, the Ram Janmabhoom movement would not have been able to gain traction. During the eleven-minute mark of the movie, Raut could be heard saying, “Ram gave everyone the sense at that time, and everybody acted accordingly so that the temple could be built today.” He stated that Rajiv Gandhi and Narasimha Rao were also contributors to the agitation about the Ram Mandir.
In addition, he asserted in the interview that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was attempting to transform the Ram Temple into a political gathering. At the beginning of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, there was no political aim in the thoughts of the people. The construction of the temple was the only thing that everyone desired. Many individuals gave their lives in order to support the temple. Additionally, a few of our members took part in the Kar Seva events. But as of right now, the scenario is entirely favourable to the BJP. According to what he said, it is as if the Ram temple, or Ayodhya, is the property of the BJP.
The “construction of Ram Temple” is the most significant “failure” of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, according to Raut, who added as much. “The Modi government will not discuss Kashmiri Pandits, it will not discuss corruption, it will not discuss employment generation, and so on and so forth. The only agenda that Prime Minister Modi has been using in order to win elections is the Ram Mandir. The fact that Prime Minister Modi needs to rely on the support of Ram Mandir in order to win elections is the most significant failure of his leadership abilities, according to Raut.
In response to the debate that has surrounded the Shankaracharyas, Raut stated that until recently, people only believed in four Shankaracharyas. However, now the fifth Shankaracharya has arrived, and that person is Prime Minister Modi. “At this time, people have faith in Prime Minister Modi if they are willing to adhere to Sanatan Dharma. According to what he said, “They do not pay attention to what the Shakaracharyas are saying.”
It is essential to take note of the fact that on January 15th, Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji stated that a small group of individuals were spreading misinformation, saying that Shankaracharyas were opposed to the Ram Mandir. On January 22nd, he requested that the Sanatan Dharmis disregard the propaganda and say the name of Lord Ram (Ram naam) in unison. He also requested that they seek the blessings of Shri Ram on this day.

Earlier, on the 12th of January, the most prominent spiritual leaders of Sanatan Hindu Dharma, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Dwarka SharadaPeetham, and Sringeri Math, made comments that were directed at followers of Lord Ram. These remarks were in reference to the Pran Pratishtha event that was held in Ayodhya on the 22nd of January. They expressed their unwavering support and blessings to the Pran Pratishtha event, as well as their condemnation of the falsehoods that were spread on social media by entities with vested interests. They were responding to assertions made by Congress officials and other individuals that four Shankaracharyas in India, including the Shankaracharya of Dwarka and Sringeri math, have rejected the Pran Pratishtha ceremony and that they will not be attending the event.
Although it is true that the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath and Puri have stated that they will not be attending the ceremony, Dwarka and Sringeri have not made any declarations to that effect; yet, their names have been included in the assertions. Not only have they not stated that they are against the ceremony, but they have also not stated that the Ram Mandir is not finished, as a number of opposition politicians have asserted. In light of this, the Dwarka and Sringeri Maths have published statements that refute the charges that have been made, and they have advised the devotees to celebrate the opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
In an earlier statement, Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena (UBT), made fun of the Pran Pratishtha event that was going to take place in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.
