Unpleasant incidents in Air India flights are not stopping anytime soon. It is now reported that a female passenger was bitten by a scorpion in an Air India flight from Nagpur to Mumbai last month. The airline said in a statement on Saturday that the passenger was seen by a doctor after landing at the airport and was later discharged after treatment at a hospital.
Air India said, “There was an extremely rare and unfortunate incident of a scorpion bite a passenger on our flight AI-630 on April 23, 2023.” According to the airline, after this protocol was followed and the aircraft was completely grounded. Scorpion was found on inspection. After this proper process of pest control was done.
An Air India official said that following the incident, Air India has asked the catering department to advise those providing laundry services to check whether there is any pest infestation and, if necessary, clean them. Control pests.
Even before this, there have been cases of reptiles being found in the aircraft. In December last year, a snake was found on board an Air India Express flight after landing at Dubai airport.
