Security personnel thwarted an attempt at infiltration on Saturday in the Uri area of Jammu & Kashmir, according to local sources.
They said that a terrorist infiltration attempt was thwarted by the vigilant forces in the early morning hours in the Uri region of the Baramulla district.
The region is heavily forested, and the Army has begun searching for potential recoveries there, they said.
A quadcopter was flown over the incident site by the Pakistani side, according to the authorities, after a short exchange of fire between the two sides.
According to them, the quadcopter was removed by Pakistan after it was shot upon by Indian Army forces.
The authorities also said that the usage of the quadcopter highlights the collaboration between the Pakistan Army and terrorists in giving support during infiltration attempts.
