Following the completion of the G20 Summit, a study identified Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader with the highest approval rating internationally, and BJP officials, including Home Minister Amit Shah, praised his leadership on Friday.
According to the most recent Morning Consult poll, which publishes weekly approval ratings of elected officials, 76% of the public approved of Modi’s leadership while just 18% disapproved. He has consistently won the poll, and his approval rating has been in the 70s for the most part.
Shah used the study in claiming that Modi continues to enjoy unparalleled popularity among world leaders.
“This is not only a testament to the success of the Modi doctrine in foreign policy, but also a testament to Modi Ji’s undeterred achievements in lifting millions out of poverty, selfless efforts to improve their living standards, and people’s unwavering trust in him,” he said on X.
Anil Baluni, the head of the BJP, said, “PM Shri Narendra Modi remains the leader with the highest Global Approval Ratings after the historic success of Bharat’s presidency of the G20 Summit 2023.”
Modi stands out as a “unparalleled symbol of trust and leadership” on a global scale, according to Union minister Shobha Karandlaje. She called him “nothing short of inspirational” for his extraordinary commitment to uplifting the oppressed and changing the lives of innumerable people.
D Purandeswari, the head of the BJP in Andhra Pradesh, concurred, claiming that he continues to be the world’s most dependable leader.
With 64% of respondents endorsing and 26% opposing his leadership, Swiss President Alain Berset gets the second-highest rating. Numerous politicians, such as French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and US President Joe Biden, are more unpopular than popular in their respective nations.
