Sarbananda Sonowal, a minister for the Union, evaluated the preparations at the Kamakhya Temple on Saturday, where the annual Ambubachi Mela was taking place.
The interim preparations made at the Pandu Port of the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for the pilgrims and tourists arriving from all across the nation were evaluated by Sonowal, the minister of Ports and Ayush.
He gave instructions to authorities to make sure that every effort is made to assure visitors’ comfort.
According to Sonowal, both the Assam and the Centre governments have made meticulous preparations for the pilgrims in order to ensure their well-being during the four-day mela.
“The Ambubachi Mela is a potent representation of ‘Sanatan’ culture and a part of our rich history. The administration has been making different efforts to promote spiritual tourism,” he stated.
I pray to ‘Maa Kamakhya’ that she continues to bless everyone of us and protects society from any unfortunate events,’ he said.
Sonowal engaged with a lot of followers as well.
On June 22, the Nilachal Hills’ Kamakhya Temple’s doors were shut; they will reopen for the yearly celebration on June 26 in the morning.
