SUSHANT, CBI, MURDER AND POLITICS: THE SAGA OF 100 FALSE PROMISES

Sushant Singh Rajput’s Case is unresolved for the last 3 years. CBI now has control over the investigation. Neither was it a priority nor a legal responsibility of the state to find facts and give justice to a fine actor who lost his life. Nobody expected the Bollywood fraternity to stop filming or mourn for ages, but dignified support to someone who was a part of their industry was a minimum that was needed. But Bollywood was silent and so were the torchbearers of social justice.

If Sushant Singh Rajput was alive, he would have recited the same couplet written by Jaun Elia. He was forgotten and remembered conveniently by everyone for their gain. Some quoted him for attention, some disowned his topic to avoid pressure. But his fans never gave up on him. They continue to remind everyone of the delay in justice. They have not let the Government forget Sushant and the way he was treated by everyone.

The family had a tough time dealing with the loss of Sushant and the horrific media exposure that lead to nothing till now. The SSRians and the SSR Warriors as they call themselves, have proved to be as good as a family family of Sushant Singh Rajput. This community exists across the globe and is praying for his soul and constantly highlighting Sushant’s unfortunate story.

Twitter floods with tweets about Sushant and hearts are flooded with prayers, but the fact is that there is no resolution whatsoever.  Even after three years, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has not been able to wrap up its probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput because the US failed to respond to its requests for technical proof, according to sources acquainted with the situation.

The top anti-corruption agency formally asked Google and Facebook, both of which have offices in California, to share information about all of the actor’s deleted chats, emails, and posts in 2021 so that it could examine the content and comprehend the circumstances surrounding the events of June 14, 2020, the day Rajput was discovered dead at his Mumbai flat. Due to a mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) between the US and India, both countries can access information in any domestic inquiry that might not otherwise be possible.

“We are still awaiting the US’s response to this technical proof, which could aid us in bringing the matter to a logical conclusion. Because of this, the case is still undergoing finalisation, according to a CBI officer who declined to give his name. The first time media mentioned CBI approaching US officials for information on the matter was in November 2021. Sushant Singh’s family is represented by senior attorney Vikas Singh, who acknowledged that he was unaware of the request for technical evidence but said that “CBI is trying to give a slow death (to the case)”.

In the meantime, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, stated in a recent interview with a television network that some people have asserted they have significant evidence about the case and that the state has “reached out to them and requested they submit the evidence to the police.” The state was “examining the credibility of presented evidence,” he continued. The CBI did not comment when the media inquired about if it had received any new evidence, as claimed by Fadnavis. People are hopeful that the Deputy Chief Minister looks into this case seriously now.

The CBI stated that it was investigating every aspect of the actor’s death after taking up the probe in 2020. The investigation is looking at many perspectives, including allegations that his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty assisted in the suicide attempt and the actor’s possible exposure to professional pressure. Several members of the film industry as well as the actor’s friends, employees, doctors, actress Chakraborty and her family members have all had examinations. The actor’s death was determined to be a suicide in September 2020 based on the medical board’s conclusions after reviewing the post-mortem examination and viscera reports. The conclusions, however, have been criticised by Singh’s relatives.

In a statement released in December 2020, CBI said that it was investigating the case using cutting-edge scientific methods. Advanced mobile forensic tools, including the most recent software, were employed during the investigation to extract and analyse pertinent data from digital devices and dump data from important cell tower sites related to the case. To gather information and interview witnesses, the agency also travelled to several places, including Aligarh, Faridabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Manesar, and Patna.

Politician Narayan Rane and his son Nitesh Rane have been mentioning many times that they have all the evidence regarding the Sushant Singh Rajput case. They also mentioned that they have material that connects Disha Salian Case with Sushant Singh Rajput Case.  Many people are claiming many things about Sushant’s Case. On many occasions, they also mentioned that Aditya Thackeray has some role in the case. Nitesh Rane had demanded the Narco Test of Aditya Thackeray. What happened to this demand? Why are these people waiting to submit their evidence? Why do they make claims and disappear? Why do these people conveniently bring up Sushant’s issue when there is political chaos going on? And if anyone has any evidence regarding any case and proclaims about the evidence, aren’t the police liable to procure those evidence and investigate further immediately?

The drug angle in the case also was considered in Sushant’s case. Sushant was drugged and probably his staff was involved majorly in the death arrangements was what was coming forward. The ex-NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede who was investigating the case and had arrested Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s girlfriend who was living with him,  was later transferred and is now facing legal implications against him. It was a shock why the officer was transferred overnight and why the same applauded officer was alleged in a bribery case later. There can be a question coming into peoples’ minds if Sameer Wankhede is suffering from legal issues because he was active in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Is he facing the Honest Officer Syndrome, the punishment for concluding cases and taking the right actions? Are people trying to keep him away from being a part of the system? Worth a thought.

Months before we lost Sushant Singh Rajput, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji had put up the above post on Twitter and called for him to create awareness. PM considered him a youth icon. This time SSR fans, his family and all the Indian Citizens are calling for attention from Modi ji to help Sushant get justice. We cannot have this case dragged forever. We hope the Sushant Singh Rajput case does not end up in a poster-twitter campaign or a political election campaign. The ordeal has to get over with dignity. Soon.
