OnePlus currently sells an Android tablet called the OnePlus Pad, but the firm may soon release a more reasonably priced model. The product’s name has been found on the Indian BIS website, indicating that the debut is imminent even if the gadget hasn’t yet made it online.
As Google works to improve Android and make it compatible with big-screen devices like tablets and foldable phones, the tablet market is receiving a fresh boost. But having an inexpensive tablet on the market is essential for OnePlus, particularly in areas with a higher taker rate. It makes sense for the OnePlus Pad to have a Go model on the market given that companies like Xiaomi and Realme already have their own versions of the Go and Air or SE tablets.
It’s intriguing that the information provided by the tipster regarding the OnePlus Pad Go suggests the tablet would feature cellular connection, something we haven’t seen on the majority of tablets in this price category, despite the fact that some of them contain 5G chips. According to reports, the OnePlus Pad’s Go form will get updates, although we are unsure whether that is the best course of action given that the majority of Go versions have lagged behind the premium model.
With features and hardware that make it a strong alternative in that price range, the OnePlus Pad was introduced earlier this year for about Rs 37,999.
The OnePlus Pad Go will most certainly get some enhancements, but it’s critical that the business scales down the hardware to control the price. Having said that, OnePlus offers the Nord series in the inexpensive price bracket, therefore it’s probable that the OnePlus Nord tablet may become available soon. Having a tablet seems to be the proper move given how the Nord portfolio has grown and expanded to include new categories for OnePlus.
