From January 1, 2023, the Uttar Pradesh government would increase the dearness allowance (DA) for its workers and the dearness relief for its pensioners by 4% each.
Tuesday’s late-night decision, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, would help the state’s 16.35 lakh workers and 11 lakh pensioners.
“The administration has decided to raise the rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief by 4% from 38 to 42 percent from January 1, 2023,” he said. “This is in the greater benefit of 16.35 lakh state employees and 11 lakh pensioners working in the UP government.
