The Pune-bound lane of the highway will be blocked for two hours between noon and two o’clock tomorrow, causing significant delays for motorists traveling from Mumbai to Pune.
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) installed a new gantry next to the Lonavala exit, which is the cause of this closure.
This is a part of a bigger initiative by the MSRDC to upgrade the expressway’s infrastructure and safety, since it is one of the busiest roadways in the nation. The new gantry will improve commuters’ travel conditions and aid with traffic flow control.
Travelers are encouraged to either rearrange their plans or use other routes during the shutdown time to avoid being stranded in gridlock. The MSRDC has also guaranteed that it would use its social media channels and traffic advisory services to promptly update users on the state of the roads and provide information on available detours.
The MSRDC has asked for the passengers’ cooperation and endurance while it completes this crucial task, which will eventually benefit them in the long term. Additionally, it has asked drivers to observe traffic laws and use caution while navigating construction zones.
