Today, a tragic accident occurred on the Nagpur-Pune highway in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district, resulting in the loss of seven lives and leaving 13 others injured. The incident took place when a bus, en route from Pune to Mehekar in Buldhana, collided head-on with a speeding truck approaching from the opposite direction.
The injured individuals have been promptly admitted to a nearby government hospital for medical treatment. Upon witnessing the scene, it is evident from the severely damaged vehicles that both the bus and the truck were moving at high speeds prior to the collision. It has been observed that the truck involved in the accident was affiliated with a logistics company.
In an admirable display of solidarity, local residents came forward to assist in the rescue efforts, bravely navigating through the twisted wreckage in order to reach and aid any survivors. Distressing images from inside the bus reveal extensive destruction to the seats, with shattered windshields and broken window panes serving as the means to access and extricate the survivors.
