On Saturday, the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell detained two drug dealers and reportedly confiscated narcotics believed to be worth Rs 38 lakh on the black market.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell’s Ghatkopar division in Mumbai’s Matunga district handled the operation.
The source did add, however, that the suspects who had been detained in connection with the investigation had been placed in police custody until August 22.
According to a statement from the official, “A case was filed against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and they were produced before the court where they were sent to police custody until August 22.”
